Post-Xmas head spin [Dec. 29th, 2015|07:55 pm]

Thanks very much for the lovely cards talitha78 and mahaliem !

I've spent most of the last week visiting my Dad in hospital and for much of the time it was unseasonably warm...so it really doesn't feel like Christmas actually happened. Hospital staff were very kind & my Dad is making some progress but all the travelling back & forth, coupled with work deadlines & weird weather has me all turned round chronologically! It feels like we're stuck in permanent November.

Hope everyone who celebrates enjoyed their holidays.

Enjoyed the grim-dark BBC version of Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None." A film critic on twitter described it as an "English giallo"- very well acted & filmed.

James Gunn posted this photo of Michael front & centre at a party. Love the sprawl.

Very best wishes to your Dad, and of course to you always! <3

MR does not age, I'm convinced.

Thank you! How have your holidays been?

Yeah, if you line up our Con photos for the last few years, he looks EXACTLY the same (wish I could say the same!)

Pretty good, actually, thanks! My daughter-in-law served up a lovely Christmas dinner, and we've all gotten together several times. I think I'm where I'm supposed to be. :)

Great photos! NOW, with extra koalas! And joeys! Yes, Michael is holding up remarkably well. We won't talk about how 64 is treating me. ;D

I wish your Dad a speedy recovery. :) And some relaxation from the holiday & travel for you.

Michael looks so adorable and comfy. I wouldn't complain seeing him all sprawled out like that in my house. ;)

Thanks, hon! I have this weekend off work and at home so that will be welcome.

Me neither! He's slender but still cuddly :)

It does feel oddly like November - I keep forgetting that it's New Year's Eve tomorrow. Probably missing a chunk of actual November doesn't help!

Hope your dad is on the mend now and will be home soon.

Cute Michael pic! He always has to be the centre of attention, heh.

MICHAEL STOP THAT RIGHT NOW.

I was going to say something else but now my brain is broken. Uhm . . . let me get back to you.

You're a life ruiner, Rosey.

I'm sorry your dad couldn't be home in time for Christmas, but I hope he is recuperating well and will be well enough to leave the hospital soon. I'm glad the staff did what they could to make your holiday a happy one. My Christmas was a bit odd this year as well. We celebrated Christmas at Thanksgiving (we combined the two holidays into Thankschristmas) due to lots of my family having other commitments in December, so we didn't quite know what to do with ourselves on Dec 25!

The way Michael embraces life and finds the joy in everything is a true inspiration. Love so much that he shares that not only with his friends and family, but with us all!

Thanks - we're hoping that physiotherapy progresses well this week and maybe we'll be told a date for his release.

I hope you relaxed because you really needed some down time after a strenuous year!

I was so amused that he was sleeping in a closet for New Year's - he brings me so much joy! Did a little looking around for Tom pics after Laura's tweet but nothing yet - would love to see a NYE photo of him!
