|Happy birthday lexalicious70! A Big Flash + Clex Post!

LinkMichael is voicing Flash in a new Justice League movie, due in 2012. Confusingly, he's not voicing Wally West, but Barry Allen. Michael also found this confusing! |
“The only person who had any trouble at all was Michael,” said Timm, “but only because he was used to playing the Wally West version of the Flash, this is actually the Barry Allen version of the Flash. He would do a line and say, ‘Oh, no, that sounds too much like Wally. I’m going to make him sound more like a grown-up.’
While I would rather have Wally again, better to have Michael voicing Flash than recasting! Here's a promo vid that features a cute clip of Michael, mid-voiceover: Michael starts at 8.28
It's lexalicious70's birthday tomorrow! To celebrate: A little Clex + Bart spam!
Martha: "Oh, look who's back again! Eating me out of house and home!"
Bart: "C'mon Mrs K. You've missed me. You know it!"
Martha:"Clark's not here, hon. He'll be sorry to have missed you."
Bart:"I didn't really come back to see him...I ran over because I was feeling nostalgic about my first visit to Smallville. Did I ever tell you the full story?"
I'd found out Clark's Big Secret. I think it was a relief for him to meet someone with powers who wasn't meteor-affected....but I could tell there was more to his story...
"Dude, you are just one freakin' Russian Doll of secrets! You trusted me with your powers, you can trust me with the rest."
"Whatever it is, I'd never betray you, Clark. You know that?"
"Of course, but...it's nothing, Bart."
I could tell he was holding out on me so I stormed out...
"Bart...please don't be mad."
"Later that day, I followed him and was like "Omigod, he knows Lex Luthor?!" Lex acted like he'd been expecting Clark and right away went over and adjusted the lights. I was like "why does Luthor want dim romantic lighting in the middle of the day?" That's weird."
Clark was being a little awkward and I wondered "why is he so nervous?"
They were pretending to admire one of Lex's new antiques. I say "pretending" because what they were really doing...
...was admiring each other.
Lex moved closer and Clark was just waiting and I thought "here we go!" but they just stood like that for a long time.
"Okayyyyy...that explains a lot!"
Well, once I knew what the problem was, I could start enlisting allies. Project!
"Hey, Clark! Bart and I were just talking about driving out to that new gay club in Metropolis? What do you think - could be fun!"
"Oh.....uh, no thanks Chloe, I've got chores. And homework. And Lex has some etchings he wants to show me."
Okay, Plan B. No point taking the direct route with Lex; he doesn't roll that way. I broke into Luthorcorp and let him catch me...
"So you're the intruder who's been tripping my alarms!"
"You got me, Lex. I guess hanging out with Clark has corrupted me!"
"You've only just turned up in Smallville. I highly doubt Clark's had a chance to "corrupt" you and I'm certain he doesn't know about your proclivity for break and enter."
"I never "break", I just "enter"! Wait, that came out wrong....and obviously YOU don't know about Clark's secret Metropolis apartment, the one on Cassidy Street. What a pigsty! He spends all his time in bed or walking around naked. You'd think the guy didn't own any clothes..."
From Lex's face, I could tell the trap was sprung!
With Clark it was easier...
"Lex has an apartment on Cassidy Street. You shouldn't go there."
So, of course...
"This is where you come to let your hair down, Clark? I'm using that phrase ironically."
And so finally...well, I won't go into details. It was worth being shut out of my own apartment for a day and a half though!
"And that's the story of how you got your billionaire son-in-law, Mrs Kent. Wouldn't you say that deserves...another plate of cookies?"
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LEXI! Hope tomorrow is a wonderful day :)
