I'm so glad everything worked out so that you could see AA at the Con! Thanks for sharing, your stories and pics always make me feel like I was right there with you. ♥ And special thanks for telling him he has a fan in California!
I first fell for Aaron when I read his sweet and generous comments about his co-stars (including Tom) in one of the SV companion books. He had this wonderfully positive attitude, and radiated love for the show and his character. I'm enjoying him on Lost Girl (he gets to sing!), but I live in constant fear that he'll be killed off, as he was on both SV and Warehouse 13 (his death on W13 was as heartbreaking as it was on SV, I cried both times).
I love how you bring carefully chosen caps and let them help you connect with the person in a truly meaningful way. The unguarded reactions you receive and then share with us are always a treat. I don't think you having a few extra pics is unusual at all at a Con, and I'm sure he was thrilled to have that one from his very favorite episode. I hope he continues to do Cons, and shares some SV stories on a panel someday.
Apocalypse is one of my all-time favorite episodes, and the Clark and Jimmy interaction in it is one of the reasons why. Tom did a great job directing, and he and AA got the iconic relationship just right. Another episode I love, again for the dynamic between Clark and Jimmy, is Identity. It has humor and pathos in equal measure, and AA brought both with equal skill. What a waste of his talent it was to make him Chloe's jealous boyfriend instead of Clark's friend and sidekick.
You chose gorgeous caps, BTW. Tom Welling is a pretty, pretty man. *sigh* I miss him dreadfully.
I'm so excited that Michael is making this movie! I haven't been online much (this is the time of year when I work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week), but I've loved the little bits I've seen on Twitter and everything you've posted here. I still remember how impressed (and delighted) I was when Michael directed Freak, and this project has the added bonus of being a labor of love that is all his own. I hope he's having the time of his life! Did you see the pic his producer tweeted?https://twitter.com/#!/kimwaltrip/status/178805961664888833/photo/1
Watching the bromance between MR and RM blossom is one of those things that makes Twitter awesome. And I don't know who the guy in the horse head is supposed to be, but I found a whole web site of his friends (click on the gallery):http://www.creepyhorsemask.com/
Actually, that horse head is kind of like a stormtrooper mask at SDCC: I always imagine it's a famous person under there, trying to experience the Con incognito.
