|Tom's new movie!

Very excited that Tom has a new role! Tom Hanks is the producer. Here's the description of "Parkland": "A recounting of the chaotic events that occurred at Dallas' Parkland Hospital on the day U.S. President John F. Kennedy was assassinated."
He's working with all sorts of cool people: Jackie Earle Haley, Paul Giammati, Jackie Weaver, Marcia Gay Harden, Colin Hanks and even Zac Ephron has a role!
It's not yet been revealed who Tom is playing & we've been speculating on twitter...perhaps Jackie Kenndy's bodyguard, Clint Hill? He was 31 years old in 1963, a former football player. Tom seems to have "blood" on his sleeve in the photo below (credit: TravisPMartin.) That would be an intense role to play; Mr. Hill is the last surviving person from the President's limousine.
Regardless of who he plays, YAY TOM, it's about time we saw you act again again!
This picture is so funny to me because the angle in which his face is turned makes him look so different, but then you look at that ginormous body, and the way he's standing, and even the way he's holding the water bottle, and its our Tom! How strange that he's familiar to me in those ways, ya know?
I really hope he's playing Clint Hill. Having looked through the other cast members, I don't see any actor better suited for that role. But, I really wish we knew for sure. I'm sure we will eventually. In any case, he's working again, and not only does that give me hope that this marks his official return to acting, but it also makes me think my Sooper Sekrit theory on his disappearance may actually have some validity to it.

Yeah, the curve of his cheek and the angle of his head - THAT'S a Tom smile!

Since Clint is still alive, I wonder if they might rename the character for legal reasons? Hopefully Tom's management updates his IMDB soon: I want to KNOW!

Ooh, what was your theory?
Well, it had occurred to me that WB might have made it worth Tom's while to stay out of the public eye until after the new Superman movie was released. It's probably nuts, but I just couldn't understand why he would abandon his career like that. And him resurfacing now, in a project that won't be released until well after MoS's release....well, it's just something to consider.
That's really interesting - hadn't even considered the timing of MoS. There could be definite advantages for Tom in a deal like that, especially if he still has his production company.
