rosenbaummedia has even more brilliant Michael-pics. Chris! Eric! Michael being cuddled by a dude and showing a side view of his ass! It's all good.

Michael's version of Lex has been named the #3 TV villain of all time! Only JR Ewing and Alexis Carrington beat him! While I still consider Lex to be not so much a villain as the woobiest woobie in the history of woobies, Michael will probably be quite pleased by this honour! The clip below features some Michael/Lex footage....the bit I found most interesting is a backstage Michael/Tom moment: the boys shake hands while Tom grins and enthusiastically chomps gum!

Behind the cut: an absolutely adorable fan-boy account of meeting Michael at DragonCon entitled "The Greatest Geek-out Ever Told."

Brady writes:

"....sometimes you get that one story. That story you'll be telling forever. And I got that story. It didn't cost me a dime, really, except the cost of a Dharma Initiative patch, which is where this story really begins:

So I had just visited Dark Horse Comics' exhibitor booth, and was in StylinOnline's t-shirt stand (if you had seen this place, t-shirt fans, you would have died… I came back with a What the Frak? t-shirt…how cool is that?). They had a three-fer sale on, so I grabbed a Buffy patch, a Firefly Shot Glass, and was drooling over the Dharma patch that was up entirely too high. So, the lovely young lady had to break out the stool and climb up to get it for me. As she balanced herself, I helped, with one hand on the stool, and one hand on my Dark Horse bag. It was crowded, and I was just paranoid enough that I wanted to make sure it didn't walk away. As I'm watching her (did I mention she was quite lovely?), I felt the bag move. I barely looked because I felt like it might just be someone brushing against it.

Then, I suddenly feel the bag move again… this time, it was a full on tug. The girl was getting down off her stool anyways, so I turn to see a man leaned down, LOOKING THROUGH THE CONTEST OF MY DARK HORSE BAG!

Wait for it…

I was about to go ballistic. How dare he? Geek or not, that is just a bit much, right? I mean, couldn't this person have just said "wow, what did you load up on at Dark Horse?" It's not like I'm the type of person to hide such things. Hell, I probably would have dumped the bag and bragged per item. But this guy? This guy had violated my territorial bubble and was 2 seconds away from getting the what-for.

Waiiiiiiit for it…

So as the words "Who the frak do you think you are?" were beginning to form on my lips, suddenly the man in question looks up with this huge goofy grin going ear to ear on his chiseled face, and says to me "I'm sorry, I'm so nosey."

It took me all of a nanosecond to realize who this was. The man that had leaned into my geek bag, had overstepped his bounds, had violated some sacred nerd law I'm sure…

It was Michael Rosenbaum, sporting a full head of hair.

That's right, folks. Lex Luthor rummaged through my shit.

His goofy grin continued as he said "Do you know me?" to which I geeked and quickly replied to the affirmative. He offered his hand to shake which I gladly did. Turns out that he loves this stuff just as much as a guy like me, and was shopping in that booth too.

We then had some more laughs as Michael (hey, I can be first name with him now, k? He went through my shit!) faked cutting in line in front of me, quickly letting me know he was just kidding around. Then the hilarity continued as he looked through my other bag, only to find a stuffed animal version of the face hugger from Alien (hush, this thing is way cool!)… when he saw that, he played it up. "Oh, what's this, oh that's SQUEEEEEEEL!" He screamed like a little girl and threw the face hugger in the air.

As it was crowded and there was just no room, I didn't feel right trying to get a picture with him, as the entire crowd would have probably stormed him the moment I got my camera out. But honestly, I didn't need to. I had the story. He told me to have fun, good to meet me, was glad I'm a good sport, etc, and then I finished paying and went on my way. And what was the first thing I did when I walked out of that t-shirt booth?

Ya damn right, I started calling anyone and everyone that I thought would listen to what was and still is, in my mind, the greatest geek-out ever told. I'm still telling the story to anyone willing to listen. I could have left on the very first night with my limited wares in hand, armed only with this story, and it still would have been incredibly satisfying.

DragonCon 2008: Where fun was had, and Lex Luthor was discovered to be not just power hungry, but a bit of a klepto."

D'aw! Is is possible for him to be any more adorable? Surely not! Let's close as we opened, with a little Michael/Chris, looking suave in Paris:

The story is supercool, and that video makes me miss Lex. Loved Tom chewing on the gum with a big grin on his face.

You find the best Michael stuff! And a side dish of Tom as well! That clip of him shaking Michael's hand and chewing gum, was that from Lexmas? Tom looked so broad and huge in that clip!

The DragonCon story is great.

Michael has the best smile! :-) Thanks for sharing!

I think that is Lexmas, so Tom is probably grinning because he's plotting his vaseline prank! Naughty Tom.

Heh, me too! Love that the fanboy immediately noticed Michael's chiseled face and I can't get the image of him playing with the alien out of my head. He's too cute. And that little moment really made the fanboy's weekend!

That's so cool that someone from Heroes mentioned him! And BWAH! Someone has to make a GIF of him shooting the gun and blowing on the end of it. :)

Aw, Gum!Chomping!Tom smiling at Michael was the best. I bet Tommy is sad without The Baum on set with him. :(

Ooooooooh!!! I loved that video! I've never seen that footage of him before, in the beginning as he's sitting talking about Lex........wow he looks so incredible! And then when he's goofing off after pretending to shoot the gun....and yes that shot of Tom with that brilliant smile, shaking hands with MR while happily chomping gum......so cute!

I also always wondered what Todd Slavkin looked like....especially since Michael played that joke on him!

You are awesome for finding this stuff!!!!

Aw, thanks hon!

I like how they cued that scene with Justin's quote about how Michael could "scare him" as Lex!

Backstage!Tom clips are so rare. He's probably plotting his vaseline trick right there!

I also always wondered what Todd Slavkin looked like....especially since Michael played that joke on him!
I hope Todd realizes just how lucky he is! Best Joke Ever.

That story is made of WIN! Thank you so much for finding it and sharing it with us! Can you even imagine if that happened to you?! I wonder if he has any idea how he touches people when he does these things. I honestly don't think it's possible to meet this man and not fall in love with him (if you weren't already besotted in the first place). The thing is, you just don't hear these same kinds of stories about very many celebrities. No matter how famous Michael eventually becomes, there is no doubt in my mind he will always be a down to earth guy who is generous and kind to his fans.

Yay for Michael being recognized! Thanks for the video. Michael is awesome in it, and I love that clip of Tom. I hope he's smiling big genuine smiles like that nowadays. I'm sure everyone misses Michael terribly.

Tom has such an engaging smile (especially when it's aimed at Michael *is biased*!) I hope the guys work together again some day.

Yes!!! On the "Truth" commentary, JG says that Michael brings "a sense of play" to the set and I think that playfulness is just a big part of who he is: naturally flirty and friendly and enjoying life to the utmost! It was fun watching fans meet him at SFX and walk away even more smitten.

The thing is, you just don't hear these same kinds of stories about very many celebrities.
Aw! He's stayed connected to his fan-boy roots. In one interview, he talks about how he used to go to conventions and remembers how it was from the other side of the autograph table, how excited he'd get. I think that's why he's so good with the fans & takes the trouble to give every fan their little moment with him.
