Ah, the good old days when Lex was still all expressive and charming. I miss that. Lex this season looks like he's on tranquilizers most of the time - it's like he's only got three emotions: pissed with Clark, sappy with Lana and blank.
The last one... *giggles*
Hopefully, we'll get a re-energized Lex tonight in "Justice"!
Hehe, I love the last one, too! It's amazing how many stills you can get of the guys checking each other out. And, despite Lex's attitude this year, you've still got to give MR some credit. I mean, maybe if the writers gave him more emotions to play then he'd be able to show some expressions again. :(
Actually, I sometimes get the feeling that MR plays Lex that way on purpose this season. (He reminds me very much of his post-Belle Reve Lex at times, only without the creepy smile, flat-unhappy rather than flat-happy). Lex has become *extremely* guarded with his emotions (and I wouldn't be surprised if he was also still badly affected by the whole Zod thing). I find it plausible, but alas it's not very much fun to watch.
Hmm, I'd never considered that. You might have a point, though...
Lex was certainly a lot more open with his emotions in the Clex years. I think MR also misses getting to act opposite a wide range of actors (like all those great guest stars in S1 -3: Joe Morton, Tony Todd, Blair Brown, Krista Allen.) It's hard seeing him stuck in the Lana-gulag.
All through "Drone", the boys seem on the verge of cracking up. And their flirting is outrageous!
Yeah, it really is. The whole scene where Clark comes over while Lex is playing pool--who said slash wasn't canon, again?
I couldn't see a thing T_T
