Michael's show; "Beast" picspam. [May. 4th, 2009|02:07 pm]

NBC has made their initial announcement about the upcoming shows for 2009/2010. Michael's show is not listed. This isn't great news, but it's also not final. A second announcement will be made on May 19th so hopefully the show can under-go any revisions it needs and make the cut. *fingers crossed*

I see that "Beast" continues to provoke strong reactions. I thought I'd share my reaction in picspam form. Warning: Irreverence & spoilers for Beast

Watch out, Chloe. Roses on SV inevitably signal doomed romance!

Just like....

My second favourite moment in this ep is Oliver's Very Important Business Lunch Party. Keep your eye on the guy on the left.

Jimmy interrupts - what a faux-pas!

I always love when random Vancouver extras steal the scene. Mr. Businessman is all like, "who's this goof?"

*exchanges shocked glances with his buddy* "Get him! Ooh, girl!"

Bitchface + Beverage = WIN.

Let's see...defending woobie!villain to a bespectacled doctor in a car in the rain...

Why does that ring a bell?

(When Allison got this script had someone manually crossed out all the "Lanas" and written in "Chloe"?)

Earlier in the season I got a little bored with Davis's moping....but now that he's growling, eating people and swallowing the scenery whole, he's much more fun!

If he returns next season, he will need an equally over-the-top pal. Might I suggest a certain flamboyant Uncle...

And this whole plotline of Davis killing people to defend Chloe and Chloe helping dispose of the remains...can only recall:

Well, Davis and Chloe haven't made out in front of a corpse yet...

My favourite scene: three geniuses in the basement! What's up with Oliver this episode? He does nothing but pout and complain. His shirt must be constricting him:

Jimmy is about to annoy the space monster to the point of killing him. I endorse this action.

Clark! You're hardly in this episode but you're so pretty! (In this scene he's using his super-hearing to find Oliver. It takes longer than you'd think, considering he's in the same building.)

Oliver and Chloe criticized Clark's plan but I think the Phantom Zone is a good holding cell for Doomsday. It would be fun for him. He'd kill everyone in there of course, then probably break out, but it's a decent interim solution. If Clark was carrying Lex in this 'cap, they would be rushing to the bedroom, yessir!

"Jimmy, Aquaman has low self esteem. Adding you to the team will make him feel like a genius!"

I love this. Oliver is yapping complaints at Clark and Clark won't even look at him.

YAPYAPYAPYAPYAP

*still not looking*

*missing Lex fiercely*

Now, I totally understand why the Chlark folks loved the last scene so much. Even I teared up a little and put Lex in Chloe's place and I'd be swooning too, just like I swooned for the end of "Arctic". (He's sacrificing himself for Clark, EEEEEEEEE! Because he loves him! It's so romantic, etc.)

That, said:

"I'm sacrificing myself for you, Clark! And for the world! But mostly for you! Everything I do, I do it for you."

WHY DO CHICKS KEEP DOING THIS?!

Given the SV writing staff has ONE plot-line for their leading ladies, let me see if I can predict what will happen in S9....

Lois: "Ooh, Darkseid you're so misunderstood and handsome and you never stand me up for coffee!"

*three episodes later*

Lois: "I'm leaping into the Void....it's the only way to stop Darkseid. And I'm doing it all for you, Red-Blue-Blur!

*Clark bangs head against wall*

LOL

My poor Clark. The girls keep sacrificing themselves and he can't do anything about it. Life is so unfair.

Ollie definitely has problems when his shirt is constricting him. They really should speak top the wardrobe people about those shirts. They are so not needed.

As I am the consistent, hopeful fan, I hope that maybe the show may be mid-season replacement project if it dieosn't make it in time for the fall.

*Hangs onto the project with tenacity*

I really hope for good news on May 19 (or failing the show being picked up, another role on a good NBC show for Michael. I'd love to see him on "Chuck")

Michael must be so stressed right now. *pets*

Your picspam is beautiful and wonderful and completely and utterly right on the target!

This is one episode where you just want Clark to smack some bitches.

*Clark bangs head against wall*

This is hysterical. Although, to bring it line with canon romance, let's rewrite:

Lois: WTF??? Leap into the Void? You've gotta be kidding me. You're Superman, for Christ's sake, do your own heavy lifting. Or maybe throw in Green Arrow, he's not accomplishing anything, and hasn't taken his shirt off for weeks.

Clark: ::gazes, starry-eyed:: You're really not like other girls, Lois.

Lois: Damn straight. ::grumbles:: leap into the void my shapely ass!

All of Clark's girls should adopt this philosophy!

According to the casting sides, originally it was Lois who was going to meet Doomsday and have this story-arc. I wonder how it would have been changed for her? Self-sacrifice for the red-blue-blur? Or would Lana have had a different plot-line and gone out a Doomsday-martyr?

♥ Loved it! This episode needs a big dollop of wicked humour to help me get it into perspective. I finally understand why so many people detested Promise for example, which I thought was a pretty decent episode all told.

Oh, I am still incapable of finding the funny in "Promise." *shivers* Too soapy for my tastes. This ep. was a rollicking good time by comparison!

Heh, I'm looking forward to this episode, it looks hilarious! I've been reading the opposing reaction from various fan factions with interest, so I'm kind of curious what all the fuss is about, though I suspect that I won't care much either way.

Crossing my fingers for Michael's show!

"Jimmy, Aquaman has low self esteem. Adding you to the team will make him feel like a genius!"
You know, when the JLA first started in the comics they had Snapper Carr who was basically their mascot. Maybe Ollie's going to get Jimmy one of those outfits with the huge head and have him show up at disasters to cheer up the victims?

HA! I still like your idea of Ollie using Jimmy as bait; it would be the most sensible application of Jimmy the show has yet managed!

OH! And I am triple-crossing my fingers for Michael's show. I'm keeping the attitude that the Network can't afford NOT to pick it up. I believe the strong and talented cast will work in its favor, despite the last-minute turmoil.

Ollie's shirts ARE restricting him!! I was not happy with this episode at all.
Let him be free and naked - the universe wants it that way!
