Love this photo of Michael cheering on the Giants last year - the photographer has framed him brilliantly!
Lex Luther from Smallville Giants Fan

From the latest Smallville Magazine; The SV producers still haven't ruled out Michael returning.. (Transcript thanks to Smallville Buzz.)

Q: There’s also been some foreshadowing concerning Lex’s return. Are you still hoping to get Michael Rosenbaum back?

DS: We’d like to. We’re trying our best.

TS: Michael’s busy. He’s doing a lot of projects, but we’re in constant contact with him.

BP: He knows how much we want him back.

A few spoilery musings from "Injustice"....

I've seen a number of posters theorizing that Oliver is under Lex's control and has been since "Requiem." The "Lexiver" theory posits that Lex somehow jumped into Oliver's body before the explosion and has been controlling him ever since, hence Oliver's turn to the "dark side", and his zeal for Clark to kill Doomsday.

While after "fake!Lex" I wouldn't put anything past this show, Oliver was trying to kill people long before "Requiem" ("Bride") and Justin H. has not been acting in any way like Michael's Lex. I suppose one could argue that this is because Lex is doing a really good job acting like Oliver....but still: silly.

Evidence offered by Lexiver theorists:
1) Oliver drank from a bottle in Lexy fashion in "Injustice."
2) Oliver has Lex's green K ring, the subject of a tiff with Clark tonight.
3) Oliver kept his shirt on throughout "Beast", unusual behaviour from him.

Evidence against:
1) Lex would never say "I remember when the only sheets between us...were silk!" Yes, Oliver said this line to Tess tonight and yes, it was godawful

(From a Clex standpoint, however, "Lexiver" would be amusing. Just another way for Lex to be constantly at his Baby's side! First he puts a camera in Tess, then he hijacks Oliver...)

Incidentally, Tom did a fine job directing tonight, especially in blocking the two-person scenes. And I love that he dressed himself so beautifully - no red jacket tonight, just sleek suits and sexy sportswear!

That's all the proof I need! *g*

And as far as the ring goes, I just see it as the show putting a little of Batman into the Green Arrow. We saw in the 'Search for Kryptonite' arc in Superman/Batman that Batman chose to keep a large stash of it instead of disposing it according to the plan. It's not about being "evil", it's about having a plan for everything.

A Batman homage makes sense, as they can't actually have Bats as a guest star. I also remember an episode of Justice League where Batman was able to produce some kryptonite at a moment's notice.

He's all caught up in the moment!

He would be a well-cuddled hostage!

My theory: Oliver is a soulless, bullying bastard with no moral compass whatsoever who wouldn't hesitate to murder anyone who gets in his way, or just annoys him in general, or, what the hell, comes within range! and he's always been like that.

(Sure is pretty, though)

Yet no one mentioned the fact that like Lex, Oliver is making the hot, dirty sex with Clark?

LMAO! He was so cheesy with with Tess, but I think he was purposely laying it on thick a to turn her off (because we know Oliver, he thinks everyone wants him)so that he wouldn't have to have sex with her--just get the print and leave.

And I love that he dressed himself so beautifully - no red jacket tonight, just sleek suits and sexy sportswear!

Hey, I didn't notice that.

Heh, I thought you'd be all over that! I also appreciated that Tom made the directorial decision to open a scene with the camera pointed squarely at his crotch: kudos, Sir!

I think Ollie's cut off for a while; Clark had his "not gonna happen" face on last night and knowing that Ollie murdered his woobie? Kryptonite for the 'nads.

I'm going with the 'dead clone' theory, or the 'transfered his brain into a clone' which would be comic book canon.
This is definitely the most convincing theory.

Um, Oliver didn't actually keep his shirt on for the whole ep; he was naked in the bedroom scene with Tess.

(Why yes, I do notice these things).

It was the previous episode "Beast" I was referring to, Oliver remaining fully clothed and fairly grumpy throughout!

(Why yes, I do notice these things).
Oliver's penchant for casual nudity is the character's saving grace for me, and thanks to director!Tom, last night we got an eyeful.

For MR's sake, I hope he avoids SV like the plague. (Aside from showing up on TW's doorstep now and then. Wouldn't want our boys to forget each other! *eg*)

From a Clex standpoint, however, "Lexiver" would be amusing. Just another way for Lex to be constantly at his Baby's side! First he puts a camera in Tess, then he hijacks Oliver...

That would be rather entertaining.

Aw, yes. Future projects and cuddly photo ops with Tom are most welcome!

Cute Michael pic!

I'm not sure how I feel about the Lexiver theory - it's amusing from a Clex viewpoint, but it would also mean that they had found a way to make everything Lex's fault despite him not being on the show anymore and apparently dead. All Oliver's deeds would be blamed on Evil Bad Lex being Evil again, and Oliver would come out of it smelling like roses, with all his prior assish behaviour conveniently forgotten. Grrr!

He knows how much we want him back.

And I hope he cackles like a two dimensional villain each time he tells you that there's no chance

Which really wouldn't be okay as Oliver tried to take off Lex's head with an arrow as recently as "Bride." Lex is not responsible for Oliver's homicidal ways. (And as dawnybee points out, Lex would never ask Clark to kill for him, whereas Oliver pesters Clark constantly.)

I hope he cackles like a two dimensional villain each time he tells you that there's no chance
Now, that's a hot image! Especially if he's rubbing a hand across his chest at the same time.

Heh. Tom doesn't share his pillow talk!

I think "constant contact" represents wishful thinking: if we say it in an interview, it will happen!

Interesting theory. I'd have to watch again to see why people thought so.

I think the producers are suffering from a severe affliction of wishfulthinkingitis.

LOVE that pic of Michael! I love how his face is uplifted and he has his camera raised, he looks so happy and excited. What a delight!

He looks so blissful! And I love how the photographer framed him by putting him right in the centre of the crowd.

I think the producers are suffering from a severe affliction of wishfulthinkingitis.
Ha! Rosenbaum-deprivation will do that to a person!
