I'm starting to imagine the SV writers laying a trap for Michael in order to get him back on the show. Like putting down a trail of Chicago CDs to a box with a stick and a string. Then, BLAMMO! They've got him!

They've got him! Yes, exactly! They're totally going to lure him into a trap, poor baby. Or possibly Tom will flutter those lush eyelashes a few times & it will be Game Over.
Oh god that Cordelia was awesome. I loved her in Buffy and when she said that quote I stood up and cheered.
I won't lie.
My favourate divas? Hmm Patsy, Cordelia, I adore Adelle De Witt from Dollhouse, though she's more of a HBIC than anything. As for Michael coming back as much I would love him to and have one final incredible scene with at the end of Smallville. They have, to have one hell of a scene. I'm hoping that it will go to a tenth, and final season so they can write that scene. Anything less and I will not be happy.

But Michael (& maybe Tom too) helped write the awesome Clex ending to Arctic - if they had some say in the scene, I might be less anxious.

I "want him desperately" too but I don't expect him to turn up at my door with a bow on his head!
That gives me quite the image, especially if Michael's bald with that bow. BTW, is that all he's wearing? ;D
Poor, poor SV and its writers. Though it is so nice to see how desperately they want Michael back. I just hope if he ever does return, they give him a show worthy of him.
That gives me quite the image, especially if Michael's bald with that bow. BTW, is that all he's wearing? I'm imagining him wrapped in a lovely purple bow, and nothing else. Lost puppy on the doorstep. "LET ME TAKE CARE OF YOU, LOST LAMB!"
I just hope if he ever does return, they give him a show worthy of him. Yes....*anxious* No more deux ex machina to wrap up other people's plotlines a la Requiem, please.

I love the show, and it HAS gotten infinitely better these last two seasons, but I'm 90% sure they'll find a way to botch MR/Lex's return, so I'm just hoping he sticks to his guns and says no. One last shot of him alive, maybe, for the series finale (watching from somewhere as Clark flies for the first time), but nothing big enough for them to ruin.
To be honest, without Michael and Lex, I've lost interest in Smallville. I watched the first few eps of last season and just couldn't get into it. I think if Michael has stuck to his guns this far, he'll only go back if he thinks the script is really worth it. (Deleted comment)
I know in some Alternative Universe out there, Michael never left, the show got better, and swine flew(u) - silly me LOL Heh, I like the sound of that. An AU where Clark & Lex never stop petting each other...
I liked Amanda on Melrose Place - she is coming back ;) That should boost ratings!
I saw the SV writers twitter today and I thought it was a fake. I couldn't believe they'd put themselves up for attack!
Do they not remember the bloodbath of the DeKnight myspace? Nearly gave him a nervous breakdown!
Poor Jensen. He's going to get so many awkward questions at his next convention. :/
You want Michael back, Kelly? 1) Promise him a decent storyline that doesn't involve him being a pathetic love-slave. 2) Stop hounding him. Use the cast instead ... I'm sure he likes them better. 3) STOP USING A FAKE VERSION ON THE SHOW AND RUINING THE CHARACTER! Ooh, what a fun list of divas! Cordelia was (and probably still is) my favourite Buffyverse character. FIERCE!
I'd add Mercedes from Glee on that list too. Her "I'm Beyonce, I ain't no Kelly Rowland!" remains one of my favourite pieces of dialogue from the show (and there have been many, many good quotes). And probably Ella "If I want something, I go out and get it" Simms from Melrose Place, because Katie Cassidy is just FABULOUS in that role.

Haven't seen MP but enjoyed Katie on SPN!
You hit all my favorites! And yay for Catherine--I *LOVED* her!!! She was so smart and funny and sarcastic and beautiful!
Why are the women in comedies usually so much smarter and cooler, able to go toe to toe with the guys, than the women in dramas?
Why are the women in comedies usually so much smarter and cooler, able to go toe to toe with the guys, than the women in dramas? This is such a good point. I got bored with Lost because all the female characters became obsessed with babies. No, thanks!
And yay for Catherine--I *LOVED* her!!! She was so smart and funny and sarcastic and beautiful! KA can rock a deadpan like no one else - she & Phil Hartman were fantastic foils for each other.
You have the most awesomest posts evarr. Lookit my Cordy. And Patsy! And lmao @ Lucille' "I don't understand the question and I won't respond to it." I am so using that in RL, heh.
Thank you!
"I don't understand the question and I won't respond to it." I am so using that in RL, heh. It's applicable to so many situations!
Wow, the SV writers are sounding pretty desperate! I do believe in fairies, I do, I do!
And I know he’d love to come back, too.
Mmm, yes. That's why Michael tweets all the time about how he'd love to come back to SV and he's so unhappy since he left and how he hates doing his own stuff and would love nothing more than to be back on SV not knowing what his character is doing from one day to the next and perhaps if he's really lucky then one day it might just happen *eyeroll*
Wow, the SV writers are sounding pretty desperate! I do believe in fairies, I do, I do! That's the exact tone! If we beg him long enough, he'll do it!

Good God! If they want him back so badly, maybe they should have done more to keep him in the first place.
Although I would be thrilled to see him back on SV (closer to the snarky, cool, confident and cocky Lex from the early days), it would HAVE to be a script worthy of his talents. And he and Tom would have to have a say in how it is written and portrayed (and with Tom as executive director (producer?), maybe that is possible!).
Oh, and I always loved Suzanne Sugarbaker!
Hope your week turns out better than you expect!
Thanks - just three more days 'til weekend :)

And he and Tom would have to have a say in how it is written and portrayed (and with Tom as executive director (producer?), maybe that is possible!) What you describe sounds good....I worry that they'd use him as deux ex machina, ie "Lex returns and kills Chloe" (because Allison isn't back for S10) or "Lex returns and breaks up Clois" because yeah, definitely that would be high on the priority list.
Oh, and I always loved Suzanne Sugarbaker! Delta Burke has the best delivery.
I'm sorry you're having a tough week. *hugs* I am, too, at least at work. Tomorrow is a holiday, but I'm going to come in to work so I can try to plow through my mountain of an inbox without drama or annoying interruptions. I'm going to bring in my Gilmore Girls DVDs to keep me company. Lorelai isn't exactly a diva, but she's my girl power hero! :) Plus, S1 has adorable Baby!Jared!
I love ALL your diva choices! I remember how I mourned Catherine's departure from News Radio. She was so awesome. I don't know about Sue, but I worship Jane. I was flipping the other night and caught her in a re-run of Two and a Half Men as a deadpan psychiatrist. I didn't even know what was going on, and she had me laughing so hard I could barely breathe!
BTW, did you know Jasmine Guy has a recurring role on The Vampire Diaries? Unbelievably, she plays the grandmother of a 17-year-old! She's only 47 in RL! Her part is small, but she makes the most of it. She plays a witch. :)
Yeah, Michael's just DYING to come back to Smallville. *rolls eyes* I do wish he would make something, anything, so we could see him act again. How about a guest spot on Modern Family, as a college buddy of Cameron's? Or on Community, as a sleazy lawyer frenemy of Jeff's? I just miss him so. *sigh*
I hope the fangirls behave themselves in Chicago this weekend, although I do kind of love it when the wank explodes. ;)
I'm working tomorrow too! *fist bumps*
Or on Community, as a sleazy lawyer frenemy of Jeff's? I just miss him so. *sigh* Yes!!! I want this so bad. Does the Chevy character have a son? Perfect for Mikey. Modern Family would be good too. Every time it's on, I wish Michael was playing one of the gay daddies.
I remember how I mourned Catherine's departure from News Radio. She was so awesome.. Great ensemble, but not quite the same once Cathy left. I love the epside where she writes all this fake "urban" copy for Bill for a malt liquor ad: "It's KRISAPPY!" Yeah, Michael's just DYING to come back to Smallville. *rolls eyes* I do wish he would make something, anything, so we could see him act again. I know :( Tom disappearing for months at a time I'm (sadly) used to. But Michael has previously popped up a lot more so I've gotten used to regular fixes. At least, Tom-pretty is still available on Fridays.

She plays a witch.. She's one young & hot grandma! When reruns start, I'm going to catch up on Vamp diaries. It's on 3 different networks in Canada so there's no excuse!
I hope the fangirls behave themselves in Chicago this weekend, although I do kind of love it when the wank explodes. ;) Heh, there will probably be goody-two-shoes fans who WAY over-do the high road and bring Jensen engagement gifts. And then there will be others.

I read at least ten fics with Jared's reaction to his proposal to Daneel; Jared letting Jensen get married, while he has feelings, etc.. Dealing with the trauma of Jensen's engagement through fic is actually quite sensible! (Better than asking embarrassing questions at the Con this week!)
Definitely will check out VD once some of my other shows go into reruns.
